HIM!!!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!!! What a wonderful time of year. I am so excited about the next two days that instead of snuggling with my husband at 3:35 in the morning in blogging... (OK I'M SHOCKED TOO).

I absolutely love Christmas. I come by it naturally seeing as how there have never been bigger Christmas fanatics than my parents. I love the songs... the movies... the antlers you make your dogs and husbands wear... and I love the celebration of the birth of my savior. I am looking forward to church this morning and hearing the Christmas story... it never does get old. To hear that God himself came to be a sacrifice for the lowly people who throughout history would continue to deny him. I cannot fathom that love.

One of my favorite things I own is my nativity set. In the stress and the hussel and bussel of getting christmas orders to clients I almost didnt put it out this year. It would be too much trouble to put back up. But the other day I couldnt take it anylonger and man am I glad I broke down. How b-utiful is the image of Mary kneeling and holding her son. She knew he was the Messiah and the image of her kneeling with him takes my breath away. To be his mother and his child.... what an honor. God must have known she was a curoageous, strong and noble woman to intrust her with the most precious gift anyone would ever recieve.

I myself have been so stressed that I found myself ready for Christmas to be over before it ever began. And know as I sit under the glow of my tree and look at the figurines that represent the best night in history I am so thankful that it is here. What a great way to end eachyear praising the lord. It is so easy for me to get overwhelmed and forget what is important and tonight I am seeing so many of my blessings.

I pray that you and your families and friends would be happy and safe this season. And that the light of the father would shine on you as you celebrate the birth of his hom...the lamb... the messiah...Jesus.

Thank you lord.

I'M Not Dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

at least not yet! Well I consider 3 months without blogging a personal achievement...or I'm a slacker! So much for the blogger promise. It has been a rough couple of months but we are going to make it. thanks to you all for the prayers for my mom and my mother in law that means more than you will ever know. I promise to post some pics on here soon just trying to get the christmas rush taken care of. I have taken some amazing photos of some wonderful people and I really want to show them off. reminder to everyone Tues Dec 12th is the deadline for reprints that you want back for christmas. thanks to all and especially to whomever still checks my blog after all this time...thats dedication! Have a fablous Christmas!

Mariel

I have known Mariel since she was 14 and her dad and I worked at the camera store together. She has always been the most intellegent/interesting person you'll ever meet. I feel blessed to have been a part of important times in her life and now is no different. Mariel came to me a few weeks ago with many changes happening in her life. Once such change is that she has decided to take her passion (acting) all the way. Mariel will be heading to New York to apply for schools of theater arts and needed head shots. So we went for a quick session down town and took these. She has the most captivating eyes which we wanted to capture them and the shoot went off with out a hitch... unless you count slipping in 1 inch deep water a hitch...haha! We will be doing at least two more sessions to put a very unique portfolio together for her. It will be a photography portfolio that shows her acting abilities..... I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED! She is up for anything.... poor girl! Anyhow here are a few shots we took a couple of weeks ago... watch for this girl she is going to rock the theater world!

PS I am so excited about, they are straight out of camera...no photoshop just a little bit of added contrast...look at her skin... it glows.

Ok I tried to blog last night but we had a data outage and no internet! Go figure! Well today is my wonderful husbands b-day and I am off to take care of some business. We had dinner with the family last night at Great Wall...yummmmm! I made everyone take a pic of themselves (less work for me) with our handy dandy point and shoot. It was fun and Vida (Sweet Temptations Bakery) made him the most delicioous Lemon Cream cake! It was so wonderful and I am having a slice for breakfast. Thanks Vida you are such a doll. I will blog about the fabulous wedding from this weekend later this afternoon! I promise!

A blogger promise!!!!!

OK so I made it exactly two months without blogging.... I know I'm a slacker! For those of you who still check this blog hoping for something, anything I make you a promise; 21 days straight of blogging!!!!!!!!! Thats right I said it! I have heard that it takes 21 days for something to become habit so I am making myself blog for 21 days with out fail. Oh no what have I done? I will start tonight I can't tell you what it will be yet...its a secret but I AM SOOOOOO EXCITED! And I have a library full of extremely wonderful weddings, sessions, updates on doggies (we have four dogs now btw) and a ton of blog worthy info! So there we go thats my promise! Wait and see......

SOOOOOOO what do you get at 7:00 in the morning???? Believe it or not a happy happy family. Because of crazy schedules the only time we could all get together before Aubrey & Jon's wedding Sat was at 7:00am!!!!!!!!! I know everyone is shocked that I can operate a camera that early... program baby program! Kidding... we really did have fun... and what a beautiful kiddo. The fact that he was happy this morning blew me away but he was. He even liked Daniel enough to want to chill with him for a while. I thought this would be a great start to the catching up process from being so far behind! Soon to come, weddings, bridals & kidos... OH MY! Thanks Jon & Aubrey for waking up so early and cheesing it for me. I am so excited for you guys Sat will be a blast. Can't wait to see Parker in his suit....... be still my heart!!!!

Bare with me

Hang on... I promise posts and a completely new style of blog. For a long time I havent like the way my blog is layed out... but I haven't wanted to have a blog like everyone elses either ( I am not sure this is how it will look). I have not (as you know)devoted much time to it at all. I am hoping to change all of that. While waiting for images to covert, resized & upload hopefully I will get my act together and post the many wonder photos I have taken of people over the last month! Man am I behind.... I promise to try to be better!!!!!!

MIchelle & Kris are getting married!!!

Wedding season has hit with a vengance.... and I'm loving it! I love this time of year when things are really rolling. This Saturday is a wedding that Daniel and I have been looking forward to for a while... Michelle and Kris! Such a fabulous couple... easygoing, laid back, fun and drop dead gorgeous!!!! This will me such a wonderful day I just know it. Their union will unite two family and cause one heck of a party. Good luck you two your gonna love being married. One of the best parts I will finally get to post a few of Michelle's awesome bridal!!!!

Special Olympians

Oh be still my heart!!! I just spent 2 1/2 hours with the greatest kiddos ever! Today kicked off the special olympics for West Texas and these athletes ROCK! I was priveleged to go to the rollerskating events today and they were tons better than anything in Italy.... I promise! Can't really show the stars of the show but they are angels. I have never photographed so many smiling faces. Joy was everywhere. If you ever have the opportunity you must attend a meet. Tomorrow we have swimming and I can't wait.

Cotton Center Jr./Sr. Prom

Oh what fun!!!! Daniel & I went out to what use to be County Line and had a blast at the Prom. No he didn't get me a corsage..sniff sniff! It was so wonderful seeing everyone all dolled up in their dresses and tuxs! Oh the memories. This prom was much better than I remember mine being, they even had romantic carriage rides. It seemed as if they were all geered up for some serious booty shaking. I hope everyone had a marvelous time.

Special thanks to Aaron from Spirit Ranch for taking Daniel and I on a lovely ride! We really enjoyed it!
